- Introducing my folks.
An unretouched gallery of photos of some of my folks adventures.- Born December 26, 1938 in Audubon Hospital, Boston, Massachusetts.
- Lived in a hanger at East Boston (Logan) Airport for 2 years. Family portrait.
Dad's "Rich-Twin" experimental airplane.- During WW II moved several times in western Massachusetts & Connecticut. Dave at grandparents.
- First grade in Essex, Connecticut.
- Settled on "Rich Acres" farm in Tuftonboro, New Hampshire.

- High School at Brewster Free Academy, Class of '56.
- 2 years at Plymouth Teachers College.
- 2.5 years in New York City. Worked for IBM World Trade Corporation and Metropolitan Museum of Art
- 1.5 years on the San Francisco to Moscow Walk for Peace and traveling in northern Europe
- 2 years at Plymouth State College, BEd, Class of '64
- 1 year at U of Mass. (Amherst) in International Studies
- 2 years teaching Math and Social Studies in Nahant, MA Junior High
- 1 year in Boston, setting up community programs while working as a night watchman
- 2 years teaching Math & Social Studies in Braintree MA East Jr. High, marvelous team teaching experience
- Married to Merrill Adickes - July 11, 1970.
- 1 year helping set up and teach at a private high school in Loudon, NH. Also, taught and house parented at the wonderful Horizons Edge Country Home School (Elementary) in Canterbury, NH (on old Shaker property); the best job I ever had.
- Becky: November 13, 1973, Ben October 17, 1976.
- 3 years establishing Pier 19 Marina & Store on 19 Mile Bay on Lake Winnipesaukee in Tuftonboro, NH.
- Established the Grist Mill Natural Foods Store in Wolfeboro, NH. Later we ran a Bed & Breakfast in our home Cate House, followed by the Cate House Dorm for Brewster Academy.
- Purchased historic Cate House with my "Proper Bostonian" Aunt Muriel (1904-1985, a victim of Alzheimers) in 1978. Our life at the Cate house.
- Enjoyed years of Ballet & Theater with Merrill.
- In 1984 three generations of Riches and Adickes got together and we got this picture.
- Becky earned a gold & 2 bronzes as a top level gymnast at the 1987 International Special Olympics at Notre Dame University in South Bend, IN.
- Coached soccer, Cub Master, Scout Master (6 Eagles - including Ben).
- 1986 - Hosted the 30th reunion of Class of '56 at the Cate House.
- 1991 Moved to Titusville Florida. Helped establish the Enchanted Forest Nature Sanctuary, the Harry & Harriette Moore Cultural Center, the Space Coast Birding & Wildlife Festival and served on Transformation Titusville.
- 1996 Established www.NBBD.com which has grown into a major community directory with over 400 web sites, is in the top half million busiest websites on the Internet, and is visited more than 2,500 times a day. Also have created 50+ domains for other businesses.
- Helping my brother, Al, market his remarkable Solar hot water heating systems.
- Using & selling Shaklee products since the first Earth Day in 1970.
- Merrill left in 2002.
- Mother (Alberta Louise - 1916) moved in and became a published author and active participant in the Titusville Art League's "Poets & Painters" program. We celebrated her 93rd birthday 7/26/09 with a flight provided by the local Experimental Aircraft Association Smilin' Jack Chapter 866.
- Becky graduated from Astronaut H.S. ('95) and is in her 15th year as a bagger at the nearby Publix Super Market.
- Ben graduated from Titusville H.S. ('95) and Colgate University ('99). He taught Math & Physics at St. Andrews Academy in Potomac, MD. Now he is teaching Physics The Montclair Kimberly Academy in Montclair, NJ.
